Big Brother Naija star Tacha Akide has confirmed that she is in a relationship but said she will not publicly identify her partner until he puts a ring on her finger.
The reality TV star disclosed this while appearing on The Morayo Show, hosted by media personality Morayo Afolabi Brown.
Tacha explained that she prefers to keep her relationship private because romantic relationships can change, particularly under the intense public scrutiny that comes with being a celebrity.
According to the former BBNaija housemate, she does not want to publicly announce a relationship only to face questions from fans and the media if the relationship ends.
She said she currently has someone she likes but would rather avoid formally claiming him publicly without a commitment that points towards marriage.
Tacha also described having a partner as important because of the loneliness that can accompany success in the entertainment industry.
“For now I’m in a relationship. In this industry, you need that one person because it is always lonely at the top,” she said.
The media personality also opened up about the qualities she wants in a man.
Tacha said she is attracted to quiet and hardworking men who are expressive and comfortable around her but maintain a low profile in public.
She added that her ideal partner must share her Christian faith and have financial stability.
“I love very quiet guys. I want you to be very talky around me, very outspoken around me, but outside maintain steeze, somebody that keeps to himself, an amazing hardworking guy and also need to love God as much I do,” she said.
Tacha also joked that she does not want a man who would make her deal with constant emotional ups and downs, adding that she would rather be the more attractive partner in the relationship.
The reality star, whose full name is Natacha Akide, rose to prominence after featuring in the fourth season of Big Brother Naija in 2019.
She left the reality show after the organisers disqualified her following an altercation with fellow housemate Mercy Eke.
Since leaving BBNaija, Tacha has expanded her career beyond reality television, establishing herself as a media personality, entrepreneur and social media influencer.
Her latest comments have now offered fans a glimpse into her private life while she continues to keep the identity of her partner away from the public.
